SINGAPORE. Singapore-based company Yam Seng has launched its Greens on Screens golf simulator business, with the airport sector a key expansion target.

Greens on Screens is being run by Karan and Karuna Tuli, son and daughter of King Power Group (HK) Travel Retail & Duty Free Managing Director Sunil Tuli, who also owns Yam Seng.

“We are in discussions with airports in the region for selling and installing our simulators at airports, VIP lounges and also listing it on the catalogues of a few airlines for people to buy or rent,” Karan Tuli told The Moodie Report.

The first Greens on Screens Indoor Golfing Centre was officially opened this weekend by top Australian golfer Adam Scott.

Speaking to guests and local media, Sunil Tuli said: “We are honoured to welcome Mr Adam Scott here today, representing The Adam Scott Foundation which strives to provide opportunity to underprivileged children, through educational platforms, such as university grants, and a new autism grants programme.

“We will be working hand in hand with The Adam Scott Foundation and are committed to helping the foundation in their charitable endeavours. We will be giving a percentage of all green fees and membership fees to the foundation.

“Throughout the year we will also be hosting fundraising tournaments, with proceeds dedicated to The Adam Scott Foundation. Additionally, we are allocating time slots to coach the autistic children associated with the foundation, at our simulator,” he said.

Tuli added: “Our focus here at Greens on Screens is to promote the game of golf. We will be opening more centres in the heartland areas of Singapore to make the game more accessible to people who may not have the time or the opportunity to travel to the city. We are establishing our own Golfing Academy to cater to players of all ages and levels of experience.

“What you see here is GolfTek USA’s state of the art technology, which uses 86 sensors to measure the ball flight parameter, and golf swing characteristics, making it the most advanced and accurate swing analyzer on the market.

“As a gesture of our commitment to the foundation, we have great pleasure in presenting Mr Scott a cheque for US$10,000, for The Adam Scott Foundation,” Tuli concluded.
