ITALY. Pikenz The First showed off its new corporate livery and brand communications at the TFWA World Exhibition for the first time last week.
The Italian beauty house changed its company name to The First in March 2007 and now carries the marketing message “Yearning for beauty” in its advertising communications.
At the Cannes show, the firm previewed two new fragrances for 2008. Braccialini is the first women’s fragrance from the successful Italian accessories brand. The packaging incorporates a rose, which is the symbol of Braccialini.
Visitors also previewed Baldinini, the first men’s fragrance from the successful Italian footwear and accessories brand, which joins the existing women’s fragrance pairing of Baldinini Parfum and Baldinini de Nuit.

The latest additions to the Arrogance fragrance franchise are Arrogance for Men, available in edt and aftershave versions, and Arrogance Poudre for women, in edt spray and new solid parfum versions.
The company also launched its new skincare and make-up lines.
Advanced Care skincare range
Created by modern dermo-cosmetic research, the new Advanced Care anti-ageing line contains a compound based on encapsulated retinol which stimulates cell turnover, a maize extract which restores the deep extracellular matrix, cimicifuga compound to protect against dermal atrophy, and an active oxygen delivery complex to improve skin cell processes.
The product aims to moisturise and nourish the skin in-depth; protects, stimulate and restore the extracellular matrix against skin slackening; protect the vascular system for good cutaneous microcirculation; supply oxygen, stimulating the metabolic reactions; and restore radiance.

The line comprises:
– Day cream SPF15: anti-wrinkle day treatment with protection from UVA/UVB rays.
– Night cream: intensive anti-wrinkle night treatment.
– Eye/lip contour: anti-wrinkle treatment with a filler effect.
– Serum: anti-wrinkle treatment with a clarifying and unifying effect.
– Regenerating anti-wrinkle day treatment. SPF15.
Autumn/Winter 2007-08 make-up collection
Pikenz Metals is the name of the new make-up collection for Autumn/Winter 2007/2008, inspired by gleaming metals: copper, gold, platinum and nickel.

The line has three references. Pure metal eyeshadow is described as a luminous baked eyeshadow with a pearly formulation that gives a shiny touch with a creamy effect and excellent staying power on the eyelid. The dual use, wet and dry, is said to guarantee a satiny, natural, highly reflecting and metallic effect. The eyeshadow is available in six shades.
All-over metal shadows, a face and décolleté highlighter, is available in two golden shades. Its metallic result is thanks to microparticles which give radiance to the face for glamorous make-up.
Wet’n volume gloss is claimed to give a wet look and a volume effect, thanks to the presence of an active plant ingredient with volume-enhancing action. It is available in six colours.
