Mystical: The 2009 Bénédictine Monk Tin Box

FRANCE. A new limited-edition gift box presentation has been released for the festive season by Bénédictine, owned by the Bacardi Group.

The 2009 Bénédictine Monk Tin Box recalls the mystic origins of the liqueur, which was created by Bénédictine monk Dom Bernardo Vincelli in 1510 at Fécamp Abbey in Normandy, France.
The gift box, draped in shadow and light, features a silhouette reminiscent of Dom Bernardo Vincelli. It will be on-shelf for the festive season and fits a 700ml standard bottle.

Distilled and aged in a palace, Bénédictine blends 27 different plants and spices. With a distinctive aroma of spices and citrus fruit, offering notes of crisp freshness softened by honey, the liqueur has a saffron amber colour and a rich texture.

Bénédictine can be served on the rocks with a piece of lemon peel, as an aperitif with grapefruit juice or tonic water, or as an after-dinner drink.

The “B&B classic” recipe mixes 30ml of Bénédictine for 20ml of Otard Cognac, and was created at Club 21 in Manhattan, New York in the 1930s.
