ASIA PACIFIC. Air passenger traffic in Asia Pacific rose by +7.3% year-on-year in October while the Middle East posted a +7.6% increase for the month, according to ACI Asia-Pacific.
The majority of the airports reported positive growth for the month, ACI Asia-Pacific said. In particular, high domestic passenger traffic growth was a significant contributor to the five airports that recorded the highest increases: Bangkok Don Muang, +51.7%; Cochin, +30.7%; Goa, +30.2%; Chiang Mai, +28.4%; and Ahmedabad (AMD) +26.4%.
From January to October 2014, passenger traffic in the Asia Pacific region rose +4.9% year-on-year while the Middle East was up by +8.8%.
