USA. Airmall USA has opened a new healthy frozen desserts concept called Tasti D-Lite at Baltimore Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport (BWI Marshall). The unit opened on 25 September.
Tasti D-Lite is a 150sq ft facility in Concourse B offering frozen treats in a variety of flavours such as Brownie Batter, S’Mores, Raspberry Cheesecake and Peanut Butter & Jelly.
“Today’s traveller wants healthy options when they’re on the go – whether it’s a meal, a snack or dessert. At Airmall, we’re responding to that demand with concepts like Tasti D-Lite,” said of Airmall Maryland Vice President Brett Kelly. “Travellers can satisfy that craving for something sweet without abandoning their commitment to eating smarter.”
Tasti D-Lite’s dairy-based soft-serve is claimed to have 70% fewer calories than ice cream with no artificial sweeteners, and has just 70 calories and 1.5 grams of fat for a small serving. In addition to 18 flavours offered at the BWI Marshall unit, Tasti D-Lite offers a menu of fruit smoothies, shakes, and sundaes.
Founded in 1987 in New York, Tasti D-Lite operates franchised locations throughout the USA.
