Alpha gears up to honour its Asian Heroes – 21/02/08 : Moodie Davitt Report

SRI LANKA. Alpha Asia Heroes 2008, Alpha Asia’s employee recognition and reward scheme, will be held on 8 March at the Cinnamon Grand Hotel, Sri Lanka.

The final awards ceremony will be preceded by a VIP cocktail event on 7 March.

Diageo, the main sponsor of the event, will present the Overall Alpha Asia Hero Award. The Moodie Report will sponsor the Airport Manager award. Other sponsors include William Grant & Sons, Estée Lauder, Cadbury and Mars.

Alpha Asia Heroes is a localised version of Alpha Heroes, the employee incentive and awards scheme pioneered by Alpha Retail in the UK.

The scheme aims to reward staff members across the Sri Lankan business who have shown consistently outstanding performance, and to promote them as examples for all staff at Alpha Orient Lanka Limited.

Alpha Orient Lanka, which employs close to 400 personnel, received 1,299 nominations for the Heroes ceremony in 2006. In total, 13 individual and four team awards will be presented to over 50 winners, who are in line to receive cash prizes totalling US$50,000.
