URUGUAY. ASUTIL, the South American Association of Duty Free Stores, has confirmed five speakers from a range of disciplines for its 2012 conference in Puerto Iguazú, Argentina (30 May–2 June).
Argentine economist Carlos Melconian, Director of M&S Consultores and a regular at ASUTIL conferences, returns to deliver the keynote economic analysis.
Also back after a compelling presentation at the 2011 conference will be Anne Kavanagh, Chief Executive of Kavanagh Communications, who this year will address the theme ‘Social Media – Investing in the 24/7 Conversation’.
Under the banner of ‘Growing Categories’, Roland Stieger, Head of Sales for Nestlé International Travel Retail, will assess opportunities to drive growth in the confectionery category, alongside Francis Gros, Group Travel Retail Director of Luxottica, on ‘Sunglasses: From walk-on extra to starring role on the travel retail stage.’
The conference will also welcome a new international speaker – Olga San Jacinto, Division Director of Google España.
ASUTIL will confirm the final agenda after the early-bird registration deadline of 10 April 2012.
The association is recording strong registrations and forward bookings for designated hotels in Puerto Iguazú.
