Bacardi Global Travel Retail Regional Director Asia Pacific Gaurav Joshi commented: “We are so delighted with the success of the global launch of Dewar’s Double Double 37 Year Old over the past two months, selling to whisky connoisseurs and collectors from across the region.

“Singapore Changi is a tremendous location for us to showcase our brands and it was fantastic to host so many VIP customers on Saturday with the opportunity to get to know directly what motivates them in progressive whisky.

“Having face-to-face conversations like this is so valuable in helping us develop our portfolio further, and we are grateful to Changi Airport Group and Lotte Duty Free for their partnership. We are looking forward to introducing Dewar’s Double Double 37 Year Old to other locations in Asia Pacific in the coming months.”

The 37 Year Old is the brand’s oldest and most premium blended malt whisky yet. It was crafted under the guidance of Dewar’s Director of Blending Stephanie Macleod.

The expression has a smooth flavour profile which is the result of a four-stage ageing process. The whisky was finished in ex-sherry single malt casks from the Aultmore Distillery in Speyside, Scotland, giving the liquid herbal notes.

Bacardi believes that single malt Scotch whisky has tremendous potential in travel retail, currently holding the second highest share (28%) in whisky behind blended whisky (51%), according to International Wine & Spirit Research 2021. ✈
