BELGIUM. Brussels International Airport Company (BIAC) has issued a Request for Proposals for operating exchange activities at Brussels International Airport.
Several surfaces are reserved for exchange offices which are, and have to be, complementary to the existing service mix at the airport. Currently, two foreign exchange companies are operating at the airport terminals. With their concessions expiring in the near future, BIAC will select an operator for exchange activities.
The evaluation and the selection of the candidates will take place during the month of May 2004.
Participation is limited to candidates with recognized successful airport experience who comply with the usual standards of professionalism, profitability and quality.
The mission of BIAC is to create an airport that provides a long-term and sustainable overall quality service. BIAC equally strives for profitability in accordance with the market’s performance. In 2003 Brussels airport handled 15.2 million passengers.
