Boss Orange to launch kids’ range at Frankfurt Airport – 14/04/09

Cute collection: Aimed at children and teenagers aged from four to 15, the first Boss Orange Kidswear range takes its design inspiration from Africa. It makes its travel retail debut in July at the Hugo Boss shop in Frankfurt Airport

GERMANY. Hugo Boss launched its first Boss Orange Kidswear collection at the beginning of this year which will be available in travel retail at Frankfurt Airport from July 2009.

Aimed at children and teenagers aged from four to 15, the theme for Spring/Summer 2009 is Ritual Safari, inspired by Africa. Among the highlights are washed and striped denims, T-shirts, tops, blouses and dresses in micro-floral prints, teamed with scarves and caps, in a palette of blues ranging from indigo to sky blue.

Airy pieces in cotton and linen, ankle-length sultan trousers, batik patterns, pretty ornamented blouses and T-shirts are the essential components of the Boss Orange Kids Collection. The boys’ palette is cool – in soft blue, bordeaux and green, sometimes combined with stripes or checks.

Shades of pink and paisley patterns are added for the girls. Prints also feature typical safari elements, including leopards for girls and motifs inspired by carved wooden figures for the boys. A range of earth shades joins intense orange and mustard yellow to finish the colour story.

Boss Orange Kidswear is rounded out by leather sandals, sneakers with Velcro fastenings and, for girls, pink strap sandals and ballerinas.

NEW COLLECTIONS FOR MEN AND WOMEN

Boss Black Womenswear Spring/Summer 09

“The New Perfectionists” is the name of the Boss Black Women’s Collection for Summer 2009, focusing on clean cuts, surprising details and luxurious materials. Inspired by contemporary architecture, a slim-line, figure-hugging silhouette dominates in both the exclusive business styles and the summery-light city looks.

For the materials, silk and fine cotton are pivotal, as is soft leather. Highlights include a yellow, knee-length belted dress in perforated kangaroo and a grey trench in buttery kid leather.

Graceful gathering details and asymmetric drapes lend the evening dresses a sensuous, sculpted fit; luxurious croc clutches and matching open-toe pumps complete the look.

Airy, summery fabrics – linen, cotton and silk blends – are counterpointed by technical fibres with a subtle shine.
For men’s accessories, the season’s shoe is an elegant lace-up with Budapest perforation. Co-ordinated weekenders and laptop cases in fine calf leather are available, along with a wide selection of reporter and messenger bags.
