Promotion for Andrew Brodie (left) as Cam Macphee (right) retires |
AUSTRALIA. Brisbane Airport Corporation (BAC) has announced changes to its Senior Management team with Andrew Brodie (currently General Manager Terminal Retail & Commercial) named General Manager, Airline and Commercial Businesses.
In this new role, he takes on leadership of the combined groups of Aviation Business Development and Terminal Retail & Commercial.
Brodie will officially step into the expanded role from 1 August 2013, following the retirement of long-time senior executive Cam Macphee, who has headed up the Aviation Business Development team for over ten years.
As part of the change, two new reporting roles to Brodie will be established to manage each department, Head of Terminal Retail and Commercial and Head of Aviation Business Development.
From 1 August, Toby Innes will take up the role of Head of Terminal Retail and Commercial.
Recruitment for the Head of Aviation Business Development will occur later in the year.
BAC CEO and Managing Director Julieanne Alroe said: “Andrew has over 17 years’ experience in retail, having spent 15 years with GPT/Lend Lease and AMP in senior portfolio management roles responsible for the management and leasing of many leading Australian shopping centres.
“He also held the position of GPT’s Retail Capital Transaction Manager responsible for acquisition and disposal of retail assets both into and out of the GPT Core and Wholesale Funds, experience which makes him ideally suited to this new senior management role.”
She added: “I would also like to acknowledge Cam’s service to BAC and his leadership within our Senior Management team; he is one of the true gentlemen of the industry and well respected by all. Cam will be greatly missed and we wish him the very best as he embarks on his well-deserved retirement.”
