IRELAND. Irish chocolatier Butlers Chocolates is to launch a new range of smaller gift boxes targeted at price-conscious consumers during the TFWA World Exhibition this month (Bord Bia stand number: Mediterranean Village N17).
“These new boutique style gift boxes have been introduced to appeal to more price-conscious consumers in this economic climate. People still wish to gift when travelling but price is more of a factor than ever,” said the company. The idea of reaching out to people who are looking to gift at lower prices has been well received by the trade, it added.
Also at Cannes, Butlers will introduce additions to its higher-priced Premium Collection, including a new size of 540g, which is said to be ideal for gifting at major occasions such as Christmas.
Butlers Premium Collection was launched in 2008 and has performed extremely well since, the firm reported. The luxurious contemporary packaging, along with an assortment of chocolates and attractive pricing has worked to drive sales, it added.
In addition, Butlers will exhibit its new collection of 100g bars with inclusions. The range has four varieties: Dark chocolate with orange + almond; Milk chocolate with butterscotch; Milk chocolate with honeycomb; and White chocolate with mixed berries.
Promotional packs
Butlers is adding to its already comprehensive collection of promotional offers with a new alcohol-free product, 250g Caramels and Pralines, available as a 2-for-1 banded pack. The line has already been launched in Dublin and London Heathrow airports, where it has been well received by consumers.
Butlers will also showcase its innovative Hot Chocolate concept at TFWA, comprising a box of filled milk chocolate cup pieces that melt into warm milk.
“We look forward to launching our new lines at this year’s show and further developing our existing products,” said Butlers Chocolates Marketing Director Aisling Walsh.
Butlers has exhibited at the Cannes show for over ten years and has seen its travel retail presence grow significantly over that time, thanks to new product innovation along with strategic partnerships with key retailers.
