Cadbury indulges travellers with luxury truffles – 01/11/07

UK. Cadbury Schweppes International Travel Retail (CSITR) has unveiled the new Cadbury Luxury Selection Truffles 180g gift box in response to its global shopper insight programme.

Launched officially at the TFWA World Exhibition last week, the product will be available exclusive in travel retail this month.

CSITR’s consumer research examined a range of nationalities to understand shopper behaviour and purchase motivations within the Special Gifting sub-category. It revealed that 80% of purchases are for gifting and uncovered a high level of interest in truffles.

The Cadbury Luxury Selection Truffles comprises 16 Belgian truffles in four flavours: hazelnut truffle dipped in creamy milk chocolate, truffle noir dipped in rich dark chocolate, vanilla-flavoured truffle covered with milk chocolate with a white chocolate finish, and milk truffle dusted with fine cocoa powder.

The programme also revealed that small packs are often the preferred format. The Cadbury Luxury Selection Truffles comes in a gold gift box with a design sleeve.
