CANADA. Canadian airport duty free sales for November 2012 grew by +7.93% to C$17.5 million, according to the latest figures published by the Frontier Duty Free Association. In the period from January to November, airport duty free sales reached C$226 million, up +8.0% from the corresponding period in 2011.
National land border duty free sales amounted to C$13 million in November 2012, a +5.0% increase compared to November 2011. Sales in the January-November 2012 period grew by approximately +2.65% year-on-year to C$134.7 million.
Land border regional sales figures
Prairie: The Prairie region saw sales growth of +8.29% to about C$1 million in November 2012. For January-November 2012, sales reached C$9.8 million, representing growth of about +5.0%.
Pacific: Pacific sales grew +6.44% to C$2 million, while January-November 2012 sales equalled C$23 million with an increase of +3.53%.
Ontario: The Ontario sales figure for November 2012 was C$8 million, representing an increase of +4.76% year-on-year. For January-November 2012 sales reached C$74 million with an increase of +2.46%.
Atlantic/Quebec: The sales figure for Atlantic/Quebec for November 2012 was C$2 million, representing a +3.31% sales increase. January-November 2012 sales grew +1.56% to C$27.5 million compared to the previous year.

7. Clothing (including hats, fur, leather)
8. Accessories (purses, wallets, sunglasses, etc.)
9. Souvenirs
10. Office and Travel Supplies
11. Glassware, crystal, china, figurines, porcelain
12. Other
13. Crafts/Arts
14. Electronics, Cameras, Binoculars, etc.
