CEETRA sets strategic priorities and expands membership at annual general meeting

The Central and Eastern European Travel Retail Association (CEETRA) hosted its annual general meeting online last week, reviewing the past year’s achievements and outlining strategic priorities for the year ahead.

CEETRA Chairman (and Lagardère Travel Retail Poland Managing Director) Andrzej Milaszewicz provided an overview of the association’s activities, with Board Member Alan Bork (ABARC Owner and Managing Director) presenting an update on the association’s financial performance.

In line with its membership growth strategy, the board introduced new members, including Choco-Me Kft., Első Magyar Gin Manufaktúra, Gorzelnia Rolnicza and Montenegro Duty Free.

Milaszewicz said: “Three of our new members are regional brands, thus representing the communities which are so important for our industry. Travellers should connect with the region they are in, and no one can reflect this better than local producers in our airports.”

In his summary of the past year’s activities, the Chairman underscored the success of the two travel retail fora in Budapest and Gdańsk, which welcomed an increasing number of participants.

CEETRA highlighted the positive response to its initiatives, as confirmed by participant feedback on their format and content.

Building on its support for the V4+ Airports Association last year, CEETRA revealed that one of its Travel Retail Forums will be held alongside the V4+ Airports annual conference in early summer this year.

With the board of directors elected for a two-year term, the meeting focused on approving next year’s budget and plans, including expanding regional activities, discussing HR topics and assessing technology’s impact on travel retail. ✈
