SINGAPORE. The Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore (CAAS) has issued a tender for a wine concession at Changi Airport Terminal 2.
The closing date for bids is 15 May. The three-year concession runs from 1 December 2008. There is an option to extend for two years at CAAS’s discretion.
The tender will be held under Changi’s two-envelope system. This aims to ensure the best possible qualitative bids before the financial offers are opened. Bidders that do not pass the technical stage will have their financial bids returned unopened. DFS Venture Singapore currently operates the wine concessions at all three Changi terminals.
In other Changi tender news, Starbucks Coffee and The Soup Spoon have each been awarded a Western Café concession in Departure/Transit Lounge South, Level 2 in Terminal 2.
Finally, two companies have been awarded kiosk concessions airside in T1. Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf and Productivity Systems won the contracts, for western speciality coffee and/or food & beverage concessions.
