USA. Chick-fil-A, one of North America’s best-known fast food chains, has expanded its travel environment footprint with a second opening at Philadelphia International Airport.
The to-go restaurant in Terminal E specialises in its signature chicken sandwiches and also serves fries, other sides and desserts.
The franchise is run by Airport Dining, which is owned by Hakan Ilkhan. Ilkhan will also now be the operator under franchise of the Bud & Marylin’s restaurant, which has just reopened in Philadelphia International’s Terminal C.
Created by chef Marcie Turney and business partner Valerie Safran, Bud & Marilyn’s is a celebration of American classics and focuses on simple, well-prepared comfort foods.
Ilhan said: “We are very excited to be opening our first two locations at the Philadelphia International Airport. We feel we will be a great addition to the offerings within the airport by providing exceptional customer service in both a well-known local concept and the popular and successful global brand Chick-fil-A.”
Mel Hannah, Vice President and General Manager of MarketPlace PHL, which runs more than 170 retail and food & beverage concessions at the airport, said: “We’re thrilled to continue the expansion of our dining choices for those travelling through PHL. Whether you’re looking for a quick bite or a full-service restaurant experience, these newly-added options provide something for every passenger to enjoy.”
