Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore unveils unprecedented shopping promotion to celebrate 25th anniversary – 29/04/06

SINGAPORE. The Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore (CAAS) has launched a 25-week Shopping Festival from 29 April to 14 October as part of Changi Airport’s 25th Anniversary silver jubilee celebrations.

The Shopping Festival, which comprises a range of exciting events, shopping deals and prizes such as the latest Maserati Gransport Spyder, encompasses four components:

– Changi-Visa S$2.5 million Sure-Win Jackpot
– Visa All-It-Takes Grand Lucky Draw
– Changi WOW Weekends’
– Changi 25th Anniversary Sale

The Changi-Visa S$2.5 million Sure-Win Jackpot is a hi-tech game played on a huge plasma screen in a specially designed and brightly-illuminated set located in the transit areas of Terminals 1 and 2. The game is operational 24 hours daily over the 25 weeks. Passengers who spend S$250 (or S$125 using Visa) in a single receipt at any retail or food & beverage outlet can participate in the jackpot.

They stand to win S$2.5 million worth of prizes such as exclusive 25th Anniversary commemorative souvenirs and S$25,000 worth of Changi shopping vouchers.

In addition, passengers eligible for the jackpot can also participate in the “˜Visa All-It-Takes Grand Lucky Draw’ with a top prize of an attractive silver Maserati Gransport Spyder. The draw will be held at the end of the 25-week Shopping Festival.

As part of the Changi WOW Weekends promotion, which takes place every Saturday and Sunday over 25 weeks, shoppers can get set for some bargain-hunting or treat themselves to a tempting selection of food offers.

Every Saturday, Changi will offer passengers the opportunity to purchase the latest and trendiest products such as Nike apparel, Apple i-Pods, digital cameras and camcorders at half price. On Sundays, participating F&B outlets will offer 25th Anniversary themed set meals or gastronomic discounts at Changi Airport.

The month-long “˜Changi 25th Anniversary Sale’ will be held from 25 June to 25 July, during which retail outlets will be offering selected products at attractive discounts themed to the number “˜25′. This will include -25% discounts or prices set at S$250, S$25 or even S$2.50.
