Portable lip service: Clinique’s new Chubby Sticks |
INTERNATIONAL. Clinique has created a new tinted lip balm in pencil format. Chubby Stick Moisturizing Lip Colour Balm will be available in travel retail from February.
The pencils are said to provide a sheer, natural hint of colour that glides on effortlessly, leaving lips luscious and irresistibly soft. The formula contains a blend of butters (shea and mango seed), oil (jojoba seed) and antioxidants to help protect, pamper and deliver both immediate and lasting hydration.
The balms are packaged in a shade-matched, crayon-like barrel. The “pencils” do not need sharpening – to apply users simply twist the base to expose more balm and twist back down before replacing the cap.
Chubby Stick Moisturizing Lip Colour Balm will be available in eight shades, ranging from nudes to pinks to deep purples.
Also new from Clinique is Bottom Lash Mascara, a product specially designed to reach small, hard-to-reach lashes on the eye’s lower rim. It will be available from February in all travel retail markets except Asia, where it will roll out from March.
Bottom Lash Mascara features a micro-mini brush claimed to be one of the smallest on the market. This precision applicator allows users to perfectly define bottom lashes to create a naturally wide-eyed look, Clinique maintains.
The long-wearing formula is said to last for up to 24 hours without smudging or smearing, is flake-resistant and waterproof (in cold water).
Bottom Lash Mascara is presented in a silver, floral-patterned barrel. It is available in shades of black and black/brown.
