UK. Clinique’s new women’s fragrance, Clinique Simply, is now available at all Clinique travel retail counters worldwide. The line made its debut in selected markets last autumn; the full global roll-out took place in March.
The fragrance is described as a modern oriental, and claims to be sheer yet vibrant. It took four years to develop, according to the company – proof that simple can also mean complex.
“In developing Clinique Simply, I wanted to create a fragrance that would be welcomed into a woman’s aura – something to connect her to comforting moments,” commented Clinique vice president of corporate fragrance development worldwide Raymond Matts. “To achieve this comfortable aura, we evolved the traditional sultry Oriental fragrance category with new notes of creaminess and warmth to broaden its appeal.”
The line-up comprises 50ml and 100ml sprays, a body wash, body moisturiser and a candle.
