Colours & Fragrances opens first Helena Rubinstein counter in Malaysia

Colours & Fragrances has opened the first Helena Rubinstein beauty counter in Malaysia in its Satellite Building store at Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA).

To mark the launch of the brand, Colours & Fragrances organised a media workshop led by Helena Rubinstein Trainer Chester Yu. Highlights from the event included a crystal gemming session where members of the media were given the opportunity to personalise their own Helena Rubinstein mascara case with crystallised designs.

Yu commented: “Malaysian women are extremely trendy and aware when it comes to the latest and the best in beauty and colours. Many are avid fashion and beauty followers who have travelled widely. Many are no stranger to the Helena Rubinstein brand and the range we have to offer, having had the opportunity to experience our products purchased abroad.

“KLIA is the perfect launch pad for Helena Rubinstein in Malaysia, given the international airport’s vibrant and healthy dose of passenger traffic, coupled with its bustling shopping, dining and retail atmosphere. Our first ever counter in Malaysia makes our products more accessible and more women will be able to approach beauty and skincare the Helena Rubinstein way,” he added.

Malaysia Airports Senior General Manager Commercial Services Puan Faizah Khairuddin commented: “We are absolutely delighted that Helena Rubinstein has picked KLIA over downtown malls to make its Malaysian debut. It underscores KLIA’s position as a premier lifestyle destination for global travellers, over and above our standing as a top-class international airport.

“We will continue to woo top-class brands to KLIA as part of our long-term strategic goal. Indeed, travellers can look forward to even greater variety and choices when they next shop at KLIA.”

In other news, Colours & Fragrances recently won three awards at the Concessionaires Conference organised by Malaysia Airports in September: the Champions Award (Best Overall); the Top in Class Award (Best in Product Category); and the Out of Box Award (Best Concept).

The travel retailer said in a statement: “We are very delighted to be awarded with these multiple awards and being recognised by the airport authority on our continuous efforts and initiatives to bring our retail outlets to the highest standards & world class level.

“All of these would not materialise without the support of our partners: Malaysia Airports Holdings and the brand principals. We will not sit on our laurels but to continue our efforts and initiatives to drive our business to new heights.”

With over 20 years of experience in the travel retail beauty market, Colours & Fragrances operates perfume and cosmetics stores in KLIA, Langkawi International Airport, Kuching International Airport, Penang International Airport, Langkawi’s Jetty Point Duty Free Complex and Labuan International Ferry Terminal. It also manages L’Occitane’s stand-alone boutiques at KLIA and KLIA’s Low-Cost Carrier Terminal.
