PUERTO RICO. Masterfoods International Travel Retail (MITR) has announced the appointment of a new distributor for its travel retail business across the Caribbean region.
Cosmopar, based in Puerto Rico, will handle all distribution of MITR’s travel retail business from October 2003. Cosmopar is MITR’s first dedicated, locally-based Caribbean distributor which the company is confident will enhance its offering by bringing additional expert local knowledge to bear within the region.
MITR director for the Americas Leslie Rush commented: “Cosmopar is well established in travel retail, with an excellent reputation, particularly across the confectionery sector. They have become a one stop shop for confectionery in the region and we are confident that Cosmopar will enhance the success of MITR brands which are experiencing huge levels of growth in this region”.
