Coty has extended the Gucci The Alchemist’s Garden collection with ‘The Heart of Leo’ Eau de Parfum.
The fruity amber scent is inspired by the nobility of a lion and blends Olibanum and Myrrh notes with incense and a blackcurrant accord. It was created by Gucci Perfumer Amandine Clerc Marie.
Notably, the Heart of Leo is made from alcohol sourced from 100% recycled carbon emissions.
Gucci The Alchemist’s Garden is a collection of fragrances centred around rare ingredients. The scents draw from the art of alchemy with each scent centred on one hero ingredient.
The range offers eaux de parfums, perfumed oils and scented waters with compositions that are designed to be layered together. When layered, the scents transform or become magnified.
The Heart of Leo is packaged in a black lacquered glass flacon, gilded with decorative gold foliage loosely shaped like a heart and finished with a green bow. The Gucci logo sits at the centre above the name of the scent. The bottle comes with a gold-shaded stopper with a matching fabric pouch and drawstring. The carton reflects the same black and gold colour palette as the flaçon.
The fragrance campaign was photographed by American photographer Paulette Tavormina and portrays an enchanting magical garden. It features flowing bouquets, golden chalices and highlights the different ingredients of Gucci’s The Alchemists’ Garden.
There are seven layering recommendations for The Heart of Leo, each one highlighting its resinous facets in different ways. Users can amplify the scent using the A Forgotten Rose perfumed oil or infuse it with floral notes by layering it A Chant for the Nymph Eau de Parfum which adds a Frangipani accord.
They can intensify the scent by blending it with The Eyes of the Tiger Eau de Parfum or add a rose-tinged oud accord with the A Reason to Love Eau de Parfum among other combinations. ✈
