Criollo forges airport deal with Jacques Bollinger; adds top-drawer brands – 24/07/06

BELGIUM. Société Jacques Bollinger has appointed Criollo Supreme Brands as its exclusive agent for the Benelux-France airport travel retail and diplomatic business, starting 1 September 2006. In a further announcement, Criollo has forged an exclusive co-operation with port house J.H. Andresen and Chateau Musar wines from the Lebanon.

Headed by Arnould d’Hautefeuille and Etienne Bizot, both members of the Bollinger family, the privately owned SJB Group counts almost 230 people and more than €80 million consolidated turnover. Exported to 70 countries and exports account for more than 80% of total business. The following brands are part of the Société Jacques Bollinger family: Champagne Bollinger, Champagne Ayala, Loire Wines Langlois-Château, Bourgogne Chanson (since 2005) and Cognac Delamain.

CHATEAU MUSAR

The vineyards of Chateau Musar are located at an altitude of over 3,000 feet in the Bekaa Valley where the vines are sheltered by the surrounding mountains running parallel to the Mediterranean coast. The red wines are made from a blend of different grape varieties, mainly Cabernet Sauvignon, Cinsault and Carignan. The wine composition varies from one year to the next, giving Chateau Musar a different character and identity each year. The white wines are made from a blend of Obeideh and Merwah, which are native to the Bekaa Valley and Mount Lebanon.

A premium Porto with a striking image of luxury and refinement, J.H. Andresen is aimed at connoisseurs of great Colheitas and award-winning Tawnies. The brand encompasses Vintages and LBVs.
