UK. On 1 February, Women in Travel Retail+ (WiTR+) members gathered in the Halcyon bar at the Diageo headquarters in London for a discussion on sustainability within the travel retail sector. The Moodie Davitt Report Publisher Irene Revilla was in attendance.
Panellists included Ethos Farm Founder & CEO Sally Allington, Bags of Ethics CEO Smruti Sriram and Diageo Global Travel Corporate Relations Clemmie Raynsford. The session was moderated by Brand X Society Founder Angela Farrugia.

WiTR+ noted on LinkedIn: “The panel explored various approaches and tools to foster a path towards a more environmentally conscious and sustainable future in retail.”
The discussion addressed challenges faced by brands, retailers and consumers in the implementation of sustainable practices within the retail environment.

At the end each panellist shared key action points: Allington emphasised on education; Raynsford shed light on partnerships and collaboration; while Sriram focused on advocacy.
Following this, a raffle was organised with prizes, with the proceeds directed to the WiTR+ charity for 2024: For Resilience Italian Swiss Association’s (FRASI) Bike to School project.
As reported, the initiative was proposed by Patricia Bona, Co-Founder and Co-Owner (with husband Jean-Jacques Bona) of fragrance and beauty distributor Essence Corp. ✈
