INTERNATIONAL. Eid al-Fitr, the major religious holiday celebrated by Muslims at the end of the month-long Ramadan fasting period, has been marked across the travel retail and aviation sectors.
The Islamic world traditionally holds a two-day festival – this year on 20 and 21 April – which includes prayers, charity, social gatherings, festive meals and gifting. Eid Mubarak is the traditional phrase used by Muslims to greet each other during the Eid al-Fitr celebrations.
Businesses across the travel retail, airline and airport sectors have shared messages and videos (some of which are shown below) on LinkedIn and social media.
