Ex Nihilo shines in first travel retail pop-up with Shinsegae Duty Free at Incheon Airport

SOUTH KOREA. French luxury niche perfume house Ex Nihilo has unveiled its first travel retail pop-up with Shinsegae Duty Free at Incheon International Airport.

Running through 31 December in Terminal 2, the activation showcases the brand’s Blue Talisman Extrait de Parfum, which launched in September.

The pop-up features an immersive design in the brand’s signature blue, creating an environment that gives travellers the sense of stepping inside a radiant, fragrance-infused gemstone.

Since its founding in Paris in 2013, Ex Nihilo has built a reputation for craftsmanship, combining premium raw ingredients with innovative perfumery techniques.

As its name suggests (meaning ‘from nothing’), the brand breaks from convention by allowing perfumers full creative freedom.

Ex Nihilo has grown strongly in Korea since its 2020 launch, delivering double-digit annual sales growth and establishing itself as one of the leading next-generation niche fragrance brands alongside Memo Paris and DS & Durga.

Blue Talisman has built strong online momentum, generating nearly 8 million cumulative video views and sellouts across major Korean department stores, with TikTok and Instagram users dubbing it the “New Yorker scent” and an “entry-level must-have”.

The Blue Talisman Extrait de Parfum offers a richer, more daring take on the original, combining pear, jasmine and orange blossom with vanilla and sandalwood to create a balanced blend of sweet, floral and warm amber notes.

The fragrance’s jewel-like blue bottle continues to appeal to style-conscious travellers.

To enhance the brand experience, Ex Nihilo is offering travellers at Incheon Airport an exclusive scented bracelet, infused with its signature fragrance for a lasting impression.
