SRI LANKA. Flemingo Duty Free Pvt Ltd has got off to a successful start at Bandaranaike International Airport in Colombo, where it began trading on 25 November.
The Indian company became the second duty free operator at the Sri Lankan gateway earlier this year when airport authority Airport and Aviation Services (Sri Lanka) Ltd opted to split the duty free concession between incumbent Orient Lanka (Aldeasa) and Flemingo.

A Flemingo spokesman told The Moodie Report: “We successfully commenced operations on the 25th of November, 2011 both at the arrival and departure lounge and it has been a great journey so far.”
The Moodie Report will feature an on location report from Colombo in early 2012.
