INTERNATIONAL. Flemingo International and onboard cruise retailer Harding Retail today announced a merger that will further expand Flemingo’s fast-growing global duty free and travel retail presence.
Harding Retail becomes part of an enlarged Flemingo International Group and will continue to operate under the leadership of Neil Harding, Founder and CEO, and Harold Gittelmon, Managing Director, the latter becoming a Director of Flemingo International.
The Harding Retail trading name and place of business in Avonmouth, Bristol (UK) will be retained, together with its facilities in Sydney (Australia) and Miami (USA).

The merger with Harding Retail enables Flemingo International to add the cruise retail sector to its fast-growing portfolio as well as enhancing their strategic and operational capabilities.
The merger is also a key element in Flemingo International’s intention to proceed with an Initial Public Offering in the near future, the company noted, saying it provided evidence of the progress made towards the group’s aim of achieving US$2 billion sales by 2020.
Flemingo International is a Dubai-based global duty free and travel retail operator with a focus on emerging markets. In 17 years, Flemingo has established its operations across four continents and is now present in 34 countries with over 155 operations.
Harding Retail works in partnership with 18 of the largest cruise operators in the world, embracing over 200 shops onboard 57 cruise ships. Harding Retail clients include P&O, Cunard, Seabourn, Royal Caribbean International, P&O Australia, Regent, Oceania, Azamara, Thomson and Saga.
