INDIA. Four companies are competing to run the inflight duty free programme onboard Air India.
Indian Duty Free Services, King Power Traveler Limited, India Tourism Development Corp and Flemingo India have all put in bids for the seven-year concession, which can also be extendable by a year at Air India’s discretion.
The tender was to have closed on 11 August, but was extended to today, 25 August 2006.
It is understood that the financial bids will be opened over the next two to three weeks.
