Godiva’s white-hot summer celebration – 18/07/06

BELGIUM/UK. Godiva celebrated the opening of its new boutique in London last week with an event titled White Hot Summer Celebration. The leading Belgian chocolatier hosted the party in honour of its upscale new store on Kings Road in London.

The 50sq m boutique, located in the fashionable Chelsea district, joins a growing list of exclusive Godiva shops in prestigious locations around the UK capital.

The evening celebration was co-hosted by Godiva Chocolatier’s newly appointed International Travel Retail Manager William Legallais. He was promoted to the post earlier this month, replacing Gerry Murray, who left the company at the end of March. Legallais has been with Godiva Chocolatier for six years, most recently as Duty Free & Travel Retail Manager – South Europe, Africa, Middle East.

The Kings Road shop will specialise in a range of the brand’s latest products, including a new chilled drink – White Chocolate and Raspberry Chocolixir. Also in-store will be strawberries dipped in white or milk chocolate, the latest collection of Godiva Truffles featuring six new flavours such as pears and apricot, and 80 chocolate varieties.

Godiva’s first London store opened in Fenchurch Street, and the brand also has outlets in Regent Street, St Christopher’s Place, Harrods, Selfridges, Covent Garden and Bluewater.
