Haribo World Travel Retail is bolstering its presence in global travel retail with new travel-related products.
A branded Travel Bag was one of several new products highlighted at this month’s TFWA World Exhibition in Cannes. The transparent bag contains 100g packs of Goldbears, Happy Cola, Starmix and Tropifrutti sweets. Regional variations to suit the preferred tastes of different markets are also under development.
Also presented at the show was a bear-shaped perspex Haribo Goldbear gift box, containing 35 mini Goldbear bags and finished with a red and blue ribbon. Three new tins in bright green, red, and yellow will launch in travel retail in April 2017.
The travel-exclusive resealable Haribo Pouches offer the brand’s bestselling Air-Parade, Goldbears, Happy Cola, Starmix and Roulette in 750g and 250g sizes.
The 748g Haribo Pick & Party pack contains an assortment of mini bags while the travel retail-exclusive Haribo Twist ‘n’ Stick offers mini bags of Tangfastics, Starmix and Goldbears, and includes stickers.
Rigo Trading (representatives of the Haribo Group) Trade Marketing Manager Elisa Fontana said the travel-related products were well received by retailers. She said further gifting ideas were under development as Haribo looked to expand its distribution network in travel retail, with a focus on the Asian market.
