Hot Diamonds makes investments in gold and silver – 17/10/08

UK. Hot Diamonds is set to sparkle at the TFWA World Exhibition with its new fashion jewellery collections (Stand number: Yellow Village F46).

In other news, Jonathan Crocker has recently been appointed as the Head of Global Sales, International and Business Development. He joins the company from Bang & Olufsen. Customers will be able to meet Crocker in Cannes, along with the rest of the team, including Managing Director International Julian Mullins.

Hot Diamonds is unveiling the following collections in Cannes:

GAIA COLLECTION: GAIA is described as a precious, sensual and empowering jewellery collection, featuring 18ct yellow gold and brilliant-cut white diamonds. The collection comprises five mini-suites, each featuring a symbol associated with one of the elements protected by the goddess Gaia. They are: Selene (cosmos), a representation of the universe and heavens, translating as the Greek word for “˜moon’; Arden (earth), a literal reference to “˜great forest’ and a beautiful place; Bali (air), a gentle wind and a figurative representation of freedom; “˜Phoenix’ (fire), a mythical creature reborn in fire; and Ionia (water), a reference to the Ionian Sea surrounding the Greek Ionian Islands. Travel retail prices are around £127 to £1,697; US$254 to US$3,394; and €171 to €2,290.

MEDUSA:The Medusa Collection is crafted from sterling silver set with brilliant-cut diamonds and consists of five mini-suites: Spellbound, featuring hypnotic studs of jagged sterling silver interface with snake-like scales and faceted sterling silver beads. Products include silver bead necklace and bracelet, a trio ring and accompanying stud earrings; Rapture is described as an exaggeration of silvery scales and sharp lines crafted onto a drop pendant, maxi cocktail ring and bangle; Enchanted comprises asymmetrical lines and silver faceted scales of smooth, polished surfaces converge onto bracelets, pendant, stud earrings and a double-stranded necklace; and Hypnotic is dubbed bold, sleek, sexy with light-reflecting cuts. Open bangles, pendant, ring or stud earrings are available. The Medusa Bracelet is the centrepiece of the collection incorporating dramatic snake-like scale structures and architectural forms linked together and accentuated with a striking asymmetrical-cut toggle fastening.

GLAMOUR PUSS CHARM COLLECTION: This new collection has 17 whimsical designs, including a Guilt Free cupcake and St Tropez Clutch Bag. Made from sterling silver, 18ct gold vermeil and featuring a signature brilliant-cut diamond. Travel retail prices are around £21 to £29; US$42 to US$58; €28 to €39.

BEACH LIFE CHARM COLLECTION: Beach Life charms are made from sterling silver, finished in 18ct gold vermeil and highlighted with a brilliant-cut diamond. The carabiner clasp means that wearers can mix and match charms onto bracelets and pendants. Travel retail prices are around £25 to £34; US$50 to US$68; €33 to €45.

ODYSSEY CUFFLINK COLLECTION: The new Odyssey collection of cufflinks is said to embody quintessential men’s styling. The collection is suited to men, but a varied use of colour, texture and silhouette also lend themselves to the female audience. There is a choice of style to suit all needs: sartorial, occasion, office or weekend, with two types of fitting: the classic T-bar or the contemporary Barbell. Cufflinks are crafted from an assortment of precious materials that enhance the aesthetic of each design and promote the collection to a wider audience. Travel Retail prices are £55 to £106; US$110 to US$212; €74 to €143.

BACK TO NATURE: Incorporating organic silhouettes and amorphous lines, Back to Nature is inspired by fascinating forms and shapes found in the natural world. Soft, irregular spheres, driftwood inspired shafts and undulating discs are free of clinical styling and appear eroded. The pieces have highly polished silver and gold surfaces, and the contrast of matt brushing adds depth. Central to all is the addition of a signature brilliant-cut diamond to each piece. Inspired by driftwood, the cuff is a striking centrepiece to the collection and is highlighted with 18ct vermeil and brilliant-cut diamonds and accompanied by a matching ring. Travel retail prices in the UK are around £42 to £302; US$84 to US$604 and €56 to €407.
