Misaka has brought a taste of Japan to Muscat International Airport

OMAN. Today’s images come from Muscat Duty Free, where Misaka Whisky has made its Middle East debut.

The brand is steadily expanding in travel retail, following recent listings confirmed with Tappoo Duty Free in Fiji and Eraman in Malaysia.

The fast-growing premium Japanese whisky range was launched in 2024 by Hong Kong entrepreneur Harry Kartasis – founder of Global Drinks Limited.

In a LinkedIn post, Kartasis remarked: “We’re thrilled to announce that Misaka Whisky has officially landed at Muscat Duty Free in Oman. This marks our first step into the Middle East – a milestone moment in our global expansion journey.

“A heartfelt thank you to our partners at Platinum Liquids and B&S Dubai, and especially to Faiz and Anup from Muscat Duty Free for their incredible support in making this launch possible.

“We couldn’t be prouder of our exceptional whisky and the dedicated partners who share our vision.”
