Inter Parfums expands Banana Republic’s Wildbloom line

Inter Parfums is capitalising on the success of Banana Republic’s Wildbloom to introduce Wildbloom Vert and Wildblue – a feminine and masculine fragrance respectively – in 2012.

As reported, Wildbloom is a feminine fragrance from Banana Republic launched last June. Created by Drom’s Jean-Claude Delville, the floral-fruity-chypre is described as an edp that captures the beauty of joy, optimism and spontaneity.

Wildbloom Vert rides on the eco trend with its green packaging; it is available as a 30ml, 50ml and 100ml edp

Wildbloom Vert

Marketed as the “sassy little sister” to Wildbloom, Wildbloom Vert represents the woman who is naturally feminine, fresh and delicate.

As the name suggests – “˜vert’ meaning “˜green’ in French – the scent is a floral fruity green. Top notes comprise crisp pear, green violet leaves and pink lady apple, while the floral heart contains notes of peach blossom, gardenia and magnolia. The base is made up of coconut wood, teakwood, sandalwood and musk.

“It’s a very subtle and well-executed fragrance, and it connects well with the green packaging and name of the product. It’s a 360-degree product that works really well,” Inter Parfums USA Regional Sales Manager – Americas Gaëlle Delannoy told The Moodie Report at the IAADFS Duty Free Show of the Americas recently.

The perfume bottle echoes the design of Wildbloom: a rectangular flacon decorated with an oversized flower and a crystal-clear cap. While its older sister shows off a brushed leather flower, Wildbloom Vert – naturally – displays a green fabric one.

The bottle, perched on a tropical green-coloured base and pale yellow platform, is visible thanks to a clear acrylic cover.

Wildbloom Vert is available as a 30ml, 50ml and 100ml edp spray, and will launch this month.

Wildblue

With an aim to creating a Wildbloom “˜family’, Inter Parfums is also rolling out a masculine fragrance for the line called Wildblue.

“If you look at the bestselling male fragrances, a lot of them have aquatic notes or blue packaging – that served as our inspiration,” Delannoy said. Examples of these include Acqua Di Gio by Giorgio Armani, Polo Ralph Blue, Davidoff Cool Water, and Bleu de Chanel.

Wildblue is an aromatic aquatic woody scent. It comes in an oval-shaped blue bottle with a silver cap and brown leather cord detail – “to add a masculine touch,” said Delannoy – and is packaged in an acrylic box.

Wildblue is available in 30ml, 50ml and 100ml.
