Inter Parfums has followed up its relaunch of Balmain’s classic Ivoire fragrance with the introduction of a new feminine scent called Extatic. The fragrance is being positioned as young, sexy and glamorous, in line with the vision of Balmain’s Creative Director Olivier Rousteing.
“Extatic is the perfect reflection of Balmain fashion,” he noted. “It’s like one of our gowns: able to reveal the sensuality of the woman who wears it.”

The Extatic juice is described as explosive and exciting. Composed by Emile Coppermann, the oriental floral opens on notes of rose, nashi pear and osmanthus. The heart features orchid and iris, giving way to a base of jasmine, wood and leather.
The fragrance flacon and outer carton sport a black and gold colour scheme. The box features a chain-mail motif, inspired by a Balmain jacket.
The ad campaign is fronted by Anna Selezneva, one of Rousteing’s favourite muses and an established Balmain house model. She was shot by Karim Sadli.
“It’s not only Anna’s beauty which makes her the ideal Extatic muse,” noted Rousteing, “it’s also her incredible sensuality. She knows how to take advantage of her perfectly self-assured sex appeal without losing a bit of her elegance.”
In the ad Selezneva wears black stilettos and a pair of shorts embroidered with pearls and crystals.
