Japan Airlines increases services on high-profit Guangzhou, Delhi and New York routes – 15/08/07

JAPAN. Japan Airlines (JAL) plans to concentrate on high-profit routes with strong corporate demand in the latter half of fiscal year 2007 by increasing flight frequencies on the Narita to Guangzhou, Delhi and New York routes, reports Travel Journal International Online.

This will mean cutting back some flights on the Narita-Los Angeles and Hong Kong routes.

JAL will add a second daily flight from Narita Airport on the Guangzhou route from October 28, making the service 14 flights a week. Since an increasing number of Japanese firms are tapping into the Indian market, JAL plans to increase its frequency on the Narita-Delhi route to a daily flight from the current five-times-a-week schedule.

JAL has already increased its frequency on the Narita-New York route to 13 flights a week. JAL said it will continue operating the New York flights on the same frequency because of the high load factor.
