JAPAN. Osaka Kansai airport has opened upgraded services and relaxation facilities in its transit area to relieve the stress of modern travel.
The refreshment and relaxation facilities now offer multifunction massage chairs featuring five pre-programmed routines including the “whole-body recovery” course and the “Shiatsu” course (Â¥500/US$4.30 per hour). New to the lounge are also several Swedish-made Tempur-Pedic beds (Â¥1,000/$8.60 for two hours for adults, Â¥500/US$4.30 for children). Complementary “amenity sets” are available in the shower room, containing a towel, shampoo, conditioner, comb, toothbrush and other sundries (Â¥600/US$5.10 per 30 minutes).
Services can be paid with most major credit cards or in US dollars. The daily conversion rate is displayed at the counter.
