Kansas City International figures rise for third consecutive month

US. Kansas City International Airport(KCI) has reported its third consecutive month of higher passenger traffic.

In November, 732,257 travelers arrived at or departed from KCI, a +1.7% increase from November 2002, according to the Kansas City Aviation Department.

In October, the numbers were also up by +1.7%. September’s +1.4% increase from the previous year marked the first monthly increase in passenger traffic at KCI since the September 11, 2001, terrorist attacks.

During that time, numbers fell significantly as the local economy stumbled and Vanguard Airlines, the second-busiest carrier at KCI, ceased operations after declaring bankruptcy in July 2002.
