HONG KONG. Kiehl’s has been listed onboard Hong Kong carrier Cathay Pacific Airways, the US brand’s second inflight listing. The beauty brand made its inflight debut onboard Korean Air in September 2008.
Cathay Pacific has shown major interest in the wellbeing brand and offered Kiehl’s an inflight launch with great visibility, said L’Oréal Luxury Products Division-owned Scental Travel Retail Asia Pacific.
Kiehl’s was featured on the front cover of the airline’s Discover the Shop magazine and given a five-second static billboard on its inflight entertainment system.
In addition, a special Kiehl’s event was held in the Cathay City crew lounge. From 28 September to 2 October, 7,000 crew members could discover the world of Kiehl’s and participate in a lucky draw.
Kiehl’s has developed a specific onboard offer for Cathay Pacific Airways: three Cathay Pacific exclusive Kiehl’s sets, including the most popular products: Lip Balm #1, Creamy Eye Treatment with Avocado and Facial Fuel Energizing Moisture Treatment for Men.
To celebrate their partnership, Kiehl’s and Cathay Pacific will donate HK$5.00 (US$0.65) to UNICEF for each product sold onboard for one financial quarter in aid of underprivileged children worldwide. Commitment to helping others and civic responsibility have always been intrinsic to the Kiehl’s brand, Scental said.
