CHINA. Lacoste has opened a standalone boutique at the cdf Haikou International Duty Free Shopping Complex, Hainan in partnership with China Duty Free Group.

The boutique features a luxurious metal façade in the brand’s signature green hue, with a texture inspired by crocodile skin. Inside, the light, bright and airy interiors showcase the brand’s updated product offering.

A striking wall print also features on the entrance, paying homage to the brand’s founder René Lacoste.

A giant Lacoste crocodile logo, illuminated in neon lights on top of a bright green back wall, draws the eye to the back of the store, inviting visitors to explore deeper.

The best-selling Lacoste polos, in various bright colours, are also highlighted via a feature wall alongside a Lunar New Year capsule collection.

Lacoste said that travel retail offers a key opportunity to connect with brand fans and recruit new consumers. Lacoste has more than 170 stores in global travel retail. ✈
