Lancôme reinvents eye contour care with Génifique Yeux Light-Pearl Eye-Illuminating Youth Activator |
Lancôme is set to extend its Génifique anti-ageing franchise with a new product, Génifique Yeux Light-Pearl Eye-Illuminating Youth Activator. It will be available in travel retail worldwide from September.
As previously reported, Génifique Yeux was previewed to selected media last month, during a skin care workshop held at the Domaine du Mont Leuze, in Villefranche-sur-Mer, France, the day after the official reveal of Lancôme’s new feminine fragrance, La Vie Est Belle.
The light-infused serum, paired with its innovative Light-Pearl applicator, delivers “spectacular” eye-illuminating results, according to the brand. Eye bags, dark circles and fine lines appear reduced, while eyes look bigger, brighter and younger looking. Results are visible in just seven days.
“Once again, Lancôme is creating a breakthrough, reinventing eye contour care,” noted Lancôme International President Youcef Nabi. “For the first time, Lancôme creates a serum combining the science of Génifique [Genomics and Proteomics] with a high-performance pearl-shaped applicator to make eyes appear more open.”
The Light-Pearl represents a new generation of applicators, according to Lancôme. Made of hygienic stainless steel, the cooling, teardrop-shaped applicator features a 50° rotation angle, making it ideal for massaging the entire eye contour area. For optimum results, Lancôme has created a special application technique, inspired by Shiatsu massage, which targets the facial acupressure points.
Génifique Yeux harnesses the breakthrough technology of the original Génifique formula, said to revive the activity of the skin’s youth genes, thereby stimulating production of young skin hallmark proteins.

To meet the specific needs of the eye area, the original formula has been updated with the addition of caffeine, escine and an extract of the micro-algae Chlorella Vulgaris, which work together to correct puffiness, dark circles and shadows, according to the brand.
Génifique Yeux Light-Pearl Eye-Illuminating Youth Activator will be available as a 20ml.
