LAX reports +3.6% passenger growth in first half of 2012

US. Los Angeles World Airports (LAWA) today announced a healthy increase in passenger volumes at Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) from January to June 2012.

Total passenger numbers reached 30,943,155 for the half-year period, +3.6% up from the same period in 2011.

International passenger numbers rose +3.0% to 8,333,316, with domestic traffic up +3.8% to 22,609,839 compared to the first half of 2011.

For June 2012, total passenger volume reached 5,742,834, an increase of +1.9% compared to June 2011. Domestic traffic increased by +1.0% over June 2011 to 4,181,350 passengers, with international traffic up +4.6% to 1,561,484 passengers.
