UK. MAC has unveiled a selection of new make-up looks for the autumn season.
On-counter now in travel retail is RebelRock (left), a striking palette of black, grey, purple and glitter, teamed with what the company describes as “punked-up pinks” and barely there shades.
The collection features a number of limited-edition shades, across a variety of products. These include Indie Girl lipstick, Pink Clash Lipglass gloss and Banshee eye shadow.
In complete contrast is Naturally Eccentric, a more subtle compilation of neutral shades.
This collection includes two limited-edition Eye Shadow Quads, featuring shades such as White Wheat and Crochet. These are complemented with new one-shot lip colours and glosses, such as Damzel and Entwined.
On the product front, MAC has introduced a new lip and eye range, called Lustrelong and Lustrevision, respectively.
Lustrelong (right) is a new Pro Longwear product. It incorporates the same two-step colour and gloss format as its predecessor, but in a more comfortable, less pigmented formula.
Pro Longwear Lustre Lipcolour features a lightweight colour base and a mirror-effect top coat for moisturising, long-lasting, sheer-to-medium coverage.
Available in 14 shades, it is launching into travel retail this month.
Lustrevision is a new collection of lustre eye shadow shades created by MAC make-up artists from South Korea, Singapore, Hong Kong, Japan, Thailand, Taiwan and Malaysia, in response to consumer demand for new lustre-finished colours.
The result is a formula that facilitates a velvety application with a long-lasting, lustrous shine, thanks to a complex blending of colour and frosts, according to MAC.
The new eye shadows are said to deliver comfortable, long-lasting coverage that will not crease or streak.
The collection features nine shades, including Lustreleaf – a lime green with yellow frost – created by Chan Ying Zhi of Malaysia, and Chillblue (an indigo light blue with red and white frost) created by Japan’s Daisuke Kushima.
Lastly, MAC has created Tailormade (left), a palette of limited-edition colours and finishes for lips and eyes.
Inspired by the modern, stylish “woman of means”, the collection is described as sexy, sophisticated and distinctly off-the-peg.
Packaging for the range is a variety of plaids and checks. The products include brush bags, eye and lip palettes, Lipglass glosses, a pressed powder compact and a slim, portable mirror.
