Markus Wehrli replaces André Rusch |
SWITZERLAND. Markus Wehrli has been appointed CEO of Weitnauer Distribution with immediate effect. He replaces André Rusch, who has decided to retire from service at the end of a handover period.
Wehrli (39) has occupied a variety of senior positions in the Weitnauer Group for the past 12 years. These have included development and consolidation functions in Weitnauer Group companies in Basel, New York and Aruba (Netherlands Antilles). In addition he has been a member of the Weitnauer Group Board.
A Weitnauer statement said: “In Markus Wehrli the Board has appointed a CEO who has in-depth knowledge of the industry and will be able to play a part in ensuring that the company pursues its positive development course. During the handover phase, he will have the active support of André Rusch.”
Headquartered in Basel, Weitnauer works in marketing and distribution of beauty products, beverages, accessories, confectionery and tobacco. The range spans more than 5,000 items.
