Maui Jim unveils a new shade of lens material at TFWA Asia Pacific

Brilliant idea: The new styles are available in a choice of colours with co-ordinating lens shades

Sunglasses supplier Maui Jim has launched what it says is its most technologically advanced lens material to date.

MauiBrilliant is now available in three rimless styles and the injection-moulded lenses feature optics which the company believes are almost as clear as glass with just a third of the weight.

The three styles – Alaka’I, Kumu and Kupuna – feature flexible temples made from lightweight beta-titanium, rubber sleeves for comfort and adjustable nose pads, and are designed to stay in place no matter the activity being undertaken.

They are available in a choice of colours with co-ordinating lens shades: Gloss black with Maui rose lenses, blue with neutral grey, metallic gloss copper with HCL bronze, and gunmetal with Maui HT.

Maui Jim said the styles would have wide appeal in travel retail as they have been designed to complement most medium-sized, round, oval or oblong face shapes.

The styles featuring the MauiBrilliant bi-gradient lenses will be on display at the TFWA Asia Pacific Exhibition & Conference in Singapore from 10-12 May.
