INTERNATIONAL. Charles de Montalivet has been appointed General Manager for Perfumes at the European Zone of L’Oréal Luxury Products Division.
He was previously Division Manager of Prestige & Collections for Travel Retail Europe, Middle East & Africa for six years, during which “he proved to be an important pillar of the company”, the L’Oréal group said.

Replacing De Montalivet is Michel Gholam, who joined the L’Oréal group in 2002 as Area Manager Middle-East in the L’Oréal Luxury Products Division in Dubai. In 2004 he joined the Travel Retail Europe, Middle-East & Africa as Area Manager Lancôme for Switzerland, Italy and Benelux (Belgium, Netherlands and Luxembourg).
Commenting on Gholam’s appointment, the group said: “Michel Gholam has constantly shown a very particular commitment to the heart of this business. His dynamism and his qualities of leadership, as well as his commercial expertise will be essential assets in his new position.”
