JAPAN. Narita International Airport (NAA) has received a major design award for its new Terminal 3, which opened on 8 April this year.
The Japan Institute of Design Promotion selected the terminal for one of its 2015 Good Design Best 100 Awards.
The award is given to the top 100 designs selected from the annual Good Design Award winners and recognises uniqueness, quality of design proposition, aesthetics and the degree of perfection.
This is the first time a Good Design Best 100 award has been made to an airport terminal.
The top 100 designs are candidates for special awards that the institute will decide later.
