The Nordic Travel Retail Seminar will be held at the Arken Hotel in Gothenburg on 3 June |
NORDIC REGION. Today marks the booking deadline for the Nordic Travel Retail Seminar 2010, which takes place in Gothenburg next week (3 June).
This year’s event is being billed as an attractive “˜low cost’ event, with delegate fees at just €299 for two participants from Nordic Travel Retail Group members, plus €299 for individuals from other companies.
In a late, though highly topical addition to the programme, Lennart Björklund from the University of Gothenburg will discuss volcanoes in the Nordic region and their impact. His presentation is titled “˜Volcanoes – angry monsters or beautiful goddesses? Can we understand them?’
The keynote speaker on the day will be Brian Moore, who will address the theme “˜Optimising the travel retail shopper experience’. Moore is Managing Director of EMR-NAMNEWS Ltd, a global marketing and consultancy firm. Other speakers in the opening session include NTRG Chairman John Baumgartner and Umdasch Shop-Konzept International Sales Manager Michael Ripfl. Ripfl will speak on beauty and wellness trends in travel retail, with an emphasis on shop design and fit-out.
In the second session, Arlanda Schiphol Development Company Managing Director Anne-Marie Zuidweg will address issues concerning airport commercial management, and Copenhagen Airports Head of Security Johnnie Müller will assess the aftermath of Christmas Day’s attempted terror attacks at Amsterdam Airport Schiphol and their implications for security and airport commercial activities.
The event will be held at the Arken Hotel & Conference Centre and will be moderated by The Moodie Report Deputy Publisher Dermot Davitt.
