HONG KONG. Following Nuance’s acquisition of the outstanding 50% stake in its Nuance-Watson joint ventures in Asia, the company’s regional division has now been renamed The Nuance Group (HK) Ltd.
Regional Managing Director Asia Alessandra Piovesana issued a statement to business partners outlining the name change. The move was effective from 15 August.
Nuance announced the consolidation of its Asian business in May, just a week before Dufry Group announced its intention to acquire Nuance in early June.
Nuance manages retail operations at seven locations in Asia: Hong Kong International, Singapore Changi, Zhuhai, KLIA2, Kempegowda International Bengaluru and Mumbai Chhatrapati Shivaji International airports, and at The Venetian Macao. Nuance said new stores will open at Xiamen Airport in China later this year.
